Bellomio olive oil has deep roots. Vincenzo Bellomio, the family's founder, was a visionary landowner in Regalbuto, Sicily. Born after the formation of the Kingdom of Italy in 1882, he wisely and diligently managed his lands in the Sparacollo area of Regalbuto, in the area crossed by the Salso del Simeto River, until the early 1970s. He took a long-term view, anticipating historical changes and preserving the family heritage.
His wisdom was reflected not only in the efficient management of resources, but also in the importance he placed on education and the transmission of knowledge. Vincenzo cared deeply about the continuity of the family tradition, dedicating himself to passing on his valuable teachings to future generations.
The fruit of the constant care of the various native cultivars, applied to ancient techniques passed down from father to son, is a superior quality extra virgin olive oil, a product that embodies the history, passion, and identity of a family that has made olive cultivation a life mission.
The quality of this oil is the result of years of experience, passed down secrets, and a deep connection to this rich hilly area of Sicily, which looks east to Mount Etna, south to the Erei Mountains, and north to the Nebrodi Mountains.
Through his dedication and wisdom, Vincenzo Bellomio has laid solid roots, helping shape not only the destiny of his landed property, but also the family's indelible bond with Sicily and olive growing.
For over 100 years, Bellomio has been synonymous with passion for olive growing. Begun by Vincenzo, the tradition has been passed down from generation to generation, right up to his great-grandson Samuele, creating an unbreakable bond with the land.
